Feds recorded Mike Madigan learning about secret payments to controversial ex-political aide, court records show – Chicago Sun-Times*

The ex-Illinois House Speaker was recorded on a wiretapped phone call in 2018 discussing with lobbyist confidant Michael McClain a plan to arrange secret payments to a close political ally who had been implicated in a sexual harassment scandal, newly released court documents show. Madigan has always denied any involvement in the scheme.

Everybody always talked about how smart Madigan was and how he would never be caught. That didn’t age well. I truly hope all the fine folks over at CrapFax who worship Madigan are doing okay after their hero takes another hit for lying. He’s not going to enjoy the rest of his time on this planet.

LOL he wasn’t some criminal genius who famously didn’t use email or a cell phone. He was actually just too old to adapt to new technology. He had no idea how to use a cell phone. Yet everyone spun his ineptitude as some 4D chess to outsmart the Feds.
