Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. I know what I will do with my property tax rebate. Buy a couple gallons of gas (In Wisconsin)

When what we need is thousands, thanks to you…
Yes, please remember that come November…
Remove your toilets, get a break
I’ve often wondered just how mendacious and silly a statement Pritzker would have to make such that an overwhelming number of Illinois’ citizenry would (finally) rise up and call B.S. on the Governor.
“Today I’d like to announce that my administration has calculated the square root of Pi, determined the true size of the galaxy, cured cancer, and found Jimmy Hoffa’s body.”
Mmmm, nope. I don’t think that would even do it.
Too many of us prefer being lied to.
A LOT of people pretend, particularly those on the taxpayer nipple.
Yep, exactly correct. Sadly, too many taxpayers pretend they’re OK with it.
They are too lazy to even realize they are being lied to…
Indoctrinated to believe anything the leftist state tells them…
Pritzker’s so called tax breaks are like band-aids on a massive head wound. Essentially worthless and so small they do absolutely nothing to address the real need. He knows this but he is desperate for something, anything really, to try and distract the voters from the truth. Democrat progressive policies have been an unmitigated disaster.
Remove the toilets from your home and reap huge tax breaks. Ain’t that right JB?
