Durbin: Jan. 6 hearings are necessary, even if they won’t change anything – State Journal-Register (Springfield)

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin added that the need for such an investigation is important because it offers a chance to learn more about what happened. "These are all legitimate questions, not just for criminal prosecution, but for history."

The hearings one every channel smack of the state-run media of North Korea, operating for and at the direction of the ruling class. So many have fled this type of insanity and they can recognize it when they see it. This is what totalitarianism looks like.

It is a credit to the American people that the ratings for this sham were atrocious.

I never thought it possible, but Durbin is right! It is important, for the sake of history, to document that Democrats labeled a small group of protesters as insurrectionists. Then those same Democrats droned on about it for 18 months, trying to convince the American people that this group of ragtag protesters actually intended to overthrow the US government. History will also reflect that while all this was going on, a complicit media allowed an incompetent and incapacitated liberal progressive President to nearly destroy the United States.

Let’s hope ‘nearly’ is accurate. Things are ominous.
