Illinois generated more than $600 million from film and television productions in 2021 – CBS2 (Chicago)

That shatters the previous record by $70 million. Film projects created 13,800 jobs both behind and in front of the camera.

Whatever was filmed in Illinois, I doubt I’ve seen any of it. The garbage that passes for entertainment these days is frightening. In the old days we used to call the TV the “idiot box”. We were right.
