Data show some types of crimes are decreasing in Chicago, but robberies and carjackings are spiking – CBS2 (Chicago)

Data show there have been 113 murders between May 1 and June 22 in Chicago. That amounts to fewer for the same period in 2021 and 2020, and slightly higher than in 2019.

Could it have something to do with experienced first responders and ER docs getting better at treating gunshot wounds?

Blow the tuba! Arrests for jaywalking and spitting are down significantly. Now I understand where Brown gets the numbers!

According to this Sun Times link there are 6 dead since yesterday 2 of which were downtown. This weekend should change the stats.
