David Brooks: Why on Earth Is Pelosi Supporting the Trumpists? – New York Times

The Democratic Party is behaving recklessly and unpatriotically. So far, Democrats have spent tens of millions to help Trumpist candidates in Republican primaries. In Illinois alone, the Democratic Governors Association and Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker spent at least $30 million to attack a Trumpist’s moderate gubernatorial opponent.

David, the DEMONCRATS are weaving their way to a country where there is no freedom, no independent thought, no dissection from their woke ideology.

DB, I expected more from you.

Pelosi is nothing but trash. It’s nice to see that years of drinking are starting to impact her cognitive function. She is increasingly confused and incoherent when making public statements now. When her and Dementia Joe have a conversation these days it must be like lunch at the old folks home. Pure gibberish.

It’s called strategy, David, just an underhanded way to influence the opposition’s outcomes.

Are you new to this?

Brooks doesn’t realize that the Dems are Bolsheviks.
He needs to get out of his bubble. He writes about a country he has no knowledge of. Put the the suits and ties back in the closet, pack a few pairs of blue jeans (if he owns any) and travel around the country for a few months on 2 lane roads. But for him, a trip to the suburbs is probably uncomfortable.

Dear David, It’s called rigging the election. Pour money into some idiots election so Arbuckle won’t have any worries. The democrats also send army’s of loyal voters to the polls for primary elections. The just ask for the other party ballot; for the general election they always vote ticket. This has been going on forever!

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
