The reason why rape and incest clauses are so important to this policy is that abortion on demand means the woman or yes, GIRL who is running against the clock to terminate her pregnancy should NOT have to prove that she was raped and go through a criminal justice process (sometimes with skeptical he-said-she-said law enforcement folks dragging their feet) and thus the re-victimization of these women and GIRLS. Please let us not forget that girls are starting to menstruate at 9 years old. Perfect example being the case of the 10 year old girl in Ohio, she had to… Read more »

Rape & incest are a fraction of 1% of all abortions. Per the Guttmacher Institute.

Ask any liberal if they are willing to restrict abortion, at all, as a compromise for the rape and incest exception. The answer they will always give you is NO.

It appears our whole culture is run by the vocal minority – the outliers.

Why are their voices heard, but not moderates and conservatives?

Liberals don’t hesitate to do the unthinkable; the rest of us won’t cross that line. We’re reasonable and law abidiing – and, hopefully, we’ll be voting en masse in November.

There is a big difference between early abortions, such as rape and incest, and partial birth, late term, and day of abortions. And parental consent. All these Catholic politicians now support the extreme abortion positions, anytime, anyone, anyplace. Hypocrites. Of course, the Catholic Church is no better. Saw the Pope blessing Nancy and Paul Pelosi last week and giving them Communion while the Archbishop of San Francisco denies them Communion.

Rape and incest are not only two horrible crimes, they appear to be incredibly prevalent, particularly among liberals. It’s all they talk about. Within a day of the Supreme Court throwing the issue of abortion back to the states, we all heard about the 10 year old Ohio girl who had to go to Indiana to have an abortion after being the victim of rape. The media almost seemed to have that story ready to go just for the occasion. It now appears that story may be totally made up. There are no records of any criminal investigation involving such… Read more »

I was definitely wrong in the above comment. Per Fox news, It turns out a man was arrested today in this case. He has admitted he abused the 10 year old twice. He is in the country illegally. My apologies for posting what I had read on what is apparently an untrustworthy news site.

No apologies for a seemingly fake news story that horrifyingly turns out to be true, only to discover it was an illegal immigrant that did it. Biden has a track record of lying, it’s perfectly OK to assume it was a lie. And when it’s true, it’s horrifying.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
