Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Hundreds of thousands of black families have fled Chicago in the past two decades. They now live in the relatively low crime suburbs and many have left the state entirely for greener pastures in different states. The violent crime in Chicago is contained and most eminates from residents who live in a handful of communities. This is all my fault. I was too busy working my life away trying to provide for my family to read Teen Vogue. Now that Cecilia has straightened me out, I’m going to dedicate the time I have left to fixing the world’s problems. If only I had started sooner.
Per Hey Jackass, 78% of murder victims in 2022 have been black. Since it’s black assailants killing black victims, that means that 300+ blacks murdered 300+ other blacks.
