The Transgender Movement Isn’t Just Targeting Kids, It’s Targeting Families – The Federalist

drag queen reads to children "As...reported recently, parents in Illinois and Montana quickly organized community pushback to planned 'drag queen storytime' events in their small towns, in one case gathering enough signatures to put taxpayer-funded drag shows for kids on this November’s ballot as a referendum item. Another recent...piece chronicled how librarians in several Republican-leaning suburbs of Saint Louis used their taxpayer-funded positions to organize a series of 'drag queen storytime' events this past June to coincide with Pride Month, even though they knew many local parents and residents were opposed."

Well, let’s face it.

Can’t have a man or a woman in a service uniform, or a police uniform, or a high school student in a JROTC uniform (if JROTC is even allowed anymore) or someone in business attire reading something at a public library for kids.

Not without a vaporous woke flibbertigibbet outcry from the progressive/liberal Proper Thought-n-Thinking minders that control these things, at any rate.

Guess all that leaves us with is kids listening to men wearing troweled-on makeup and women’s clothes.

Good for ’em, you know. Broadens their minds.

In order for the government to be at the center of your lives it needs to wedge itself between you and any other guiding influence in your life.

It most certainly needs to detach children from their parents and parents from God.

Commies and dictators divide with purpose to keep their power and control.

So the next time you get animated about the next grooming and trans outrage, remember it’s simply a distraction for the sake of dividing.

No one enjoys drag queen story hour. No more than a few parents bring their kids to this nonsense. They do it to ‘own’ the local deplorables. That’s why they do it. Because they can. Because they know it drives us crazy. Remember, these people hate you, and they’ll throw you into a camp to die the first chance they get.

Drags queens are mere pawns for progressives. They don’t care about drag queens as individuals inasmuch as how much publicity their presence brings with them. Progressives are not looking to change minds but provoke their opponents. “Drag Queen Storytime” is simply an insult to that community with the implication all they have to offer is a 5th grade reading level and lot of makeup. A stereotype on top of a stereotype.

Some day soon, drag queens and transgender people will realize they are being used by the very groups that purport to support them.

Right, nixit. I hope they realize that soon. It’s gay and trans people who are being hurt the most by the lunatic fringe that’s now so vocal.

As a gay person, I agree wholeheartedly. The gay lunatic leftist fringe is composed of extremely mentally ill individuals, who have to turn everything for their “cause” into an embarrassing clown show…

Thanks, and no worries – living in Evanston I feel as if I’m on an alien planet already, lol. Reading this site helps me to maintain a semblance of sanity. 🙂

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
