Warnings Sound As Illinois Prepares to End Cash Bail, Empty Jails Peter Sopczak, the Johnson County Sheriff, reiterated what's going to happen in Illinois at the start of the new year saying, “anyone sitting in jail right now with all these pending charges, they’re going to be let out — the gates are open and they’re going to be let out onto the streets."

Pritzker is incapable of admitting that he made a mistake. His ego simply won’t allow it. So he’ll stand their smugly, deriding those that dare to challenge his wisdom, as he mumbles something about equity and justice. A more vile and dangerous creature does not exist. He dare not defy the Black Caucus. The SAFE-T Act is a bill about equity. Its one of the four Pillars of the Black Caucus. No way JB P. Is going to tear down one of their pillars, a signature legislature achievement. Believe me, the entire legislature knows what a mess this bill will create, it’s a national news story for goodness sakes, but they can’t do anything about it before the mid-terms.
