Commentary: Texas Gov. Abbott sends asylum seekers here to sow chaos, but Illinois is better than that – Chicago Sun-Times*

Sean McDermott, mayor of Countryside: "In Countryside, we currently have a group of asylum seekers staying at one of our hotels...If they (Pritzker and Lightfoot) found the best available housing for these new arrivals in the short term is hotels in surrounding suburbs, then we should respect the decisions they are making in a time of untold stress and limited resources."

This is a thoroughly successful effort to show everyone the hypocrisy of Lori and her friends! Martha’s Vineyard doesn’t have room? 17,000 year round residents swells to 200,000 during peak season. Hmmmmm……

NIMBY (not in my back yard) is alive and well in Martha’s Vineyard. They couldn’t offload those immigrants fast enough!

For all their virtue signaling the immigrants were embraced and loved by residents as they were shuffled on to buses.

HYPOCRITES!

“…to sow chaos?”

No, dear readers, it was to call attention to the Biden Administration-sponsored chaos in Texas and Arizona.

Close the damned border!!! Deport the illegals and save Americans billion$ in supporting the wave of people who have broken our immigration laws.

Provide housing, food, education and support to AMERICANS, not ILLEGALS.

How the Sun Times manages to stay in business is the 8th Wonder of the World.

It’s expensive when you consider that you’ll just throw it out in the evening. I can’t even imagine the demographic advertisers are trying to reach. Affluent woksters with disposable income is a contradiction in terms.

Lastly, they’re always telling their readership what horrible nasty people their ancestors were. Who buys enough of this rag to allow them to remain a going concern baffles me.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
