Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s offer to subsidize that transformation will require housing developers to set aside 30% of the new units for low- and moderate-income residents, to fulfill what Lightfoot said was her commitment to equity — and ensure all Chicagoans can live near places to work, eat, play and shop.
Lori is hot to clean up La Salle St. it’s looking a little shabby under Lori’s stewardship. It’s undignified to have the mayors office on skid row!

1.TIF raises property tax rates.
2.Property values are decimated by high property tax rates, and nobody wants to develop an area with high property tax rates, as it is anti-profitable for non-corrupt investors.
3.Chicago/Illinois gives TIF money to developers.
4.Loop back to #1.

Another Lori Dream. She’s incapable of addressing real issues, so she spouts vague dreams that will never mature. Chicago could be the worlds exclusive manufacturer of wooden bells. She’ll christen the new residential neighborhood Bedlam on La Salle.

Lori, people will take more pride in their home when they actually have to pay for it.
Look what Section 8 did for Roger’s Park. Turned a decent place into a shooting gallery.
