Of the small % of Illinois voters that do in fact vote it is “vote for blue no matter who.”
That says it all…like it or not

We need to change Illinois’ state slogan from *The land of Lincoln* to *The land of masochists*…

I believe this poll about as much as I believe the rest of their fake news.

“The poll found that 57% had an unfavorable view of the ex-president, who is facing multiple federal and state criminal and civil investigations linked to the Jan. 6 insurrection, his storage of top-secret government documents at his Florida estate and possible fraud related to his business interests.”

“la la la” Sing loud while covering your ears debtsor. You wouldn’t want to believe any news that doesn’t correspond with your fragile beliefs. Trump Lost and the Illinois voters still don’t want him. Learn to deal with that. Bailey is going to lose as well. Can you point to a poll where Bailey is winning? How about the one that that Bailey paid for? You know the one where less than a third of the voters don’t have a favorable view of Bailey? Bailey is going to lose big. 22 more days to come to terms with it. Don’t… Read more »

LOLz Only #JBPutin would suggest it’s political denial to question the truthfulness of WBEZ.

Will Bailey lose? Maybe. Will #JBPutin’s “Bag” contribute significantly to his win? For sure.

He can mask you, jab you, confine you to your home, and you’ll still come back for more. Won’t ya?

In fact, he can screw you any way he wants so long as the money keeps coming in, eh?

There’s a name for people like that. Those that take a tremendous screwing as long as they keep getting their money.

There’s a name. Let me think . . .

When did I say I support a vaccine mandate? When did I say I support lock downs? Didn’t happen. You’re a special kind of dumb. Who I support has nothing to do with how the current polls are showing that Bailey is an awful candidate. In fact I’ve stated before that I’m fine if Bailey gets elected as it would end JB’s mandates but he is such a horrible candidate that he can’t win. The polls line up with my statement. Do you think if you ignore the current data then Bailey will somehow win? Keep sticking your head in… Read more »

You keep repeating nonsense that Bailey is an ‘awful’ candidate. For what reasons? His view on abortion? A position taken by millions of people? That he’s from southern IL? Or do you mean his accent, that’s what this is about, right? You repeat that ‘he’s an awful candidate because his accent’

JBPutin is also an awful candidate too. why aren’t you saying that? He’s got a negative unavailability rating, he’s a billionaire that replaced a millionaire, and he’s woke as all heck.

In 2018, JBPutin had 2,479,746 votes, the most for any gubernatorial candidate since Thompson’s 3,000,395 votes in 1976, after Walker’s disastrous and eventual imprisonment. Even Cook County went Red that year. Before that, to find anyone with more votes than JBPutin, you have to go back 58 year to Otto Kerner Jr. who was elected with 2,594,731 votes in 1960. BETWEEN 1976 AND 2018, NO GOV. HAD RECEIVED MORE THAN 2,000,000 VOTES. No one bats an eye at these incredible, and almost unbelievable turnout figure JB Pritzker got in 2018, after 42 years of below 2,000,000 turnout for any candidate,… Read more »

If you really believe that then why do you continue to state that “awful” Bailey has a path to victory? You can’t have it both ways.

“His view on abortion? A position taken by millions of people?” His views on abortion don’t line up with the majority of voters in Illinois. Most voters don’t think there should be zero exceptions for rape or incest. Sure some people think that but most in Illinois don’t. His response is that Democrats will really be in charge anyway so he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it anyway. Admitting that you are impotent even before taking the job is not a good look. “That he’s from southern IL?” While his origin by itself is not a weakness it… Read more »

The only nonsense being repeated is coming from you. Your continued denial of ALL the polls showing Bailey is an awful candidate. Your continued nonsense that elections are stolen. Continue to deny the truth debtsor. Either way it will smack you in the face on the evening of November 8th. I’m thinking around 7:01 PM on FoxNews.

PPF you really do not belong here anymore. Most if not all of what you say is supposition not fact.

For example, on abortion, I am an evangelical Christian so you know what that means. You do not speak for me Sir, an Illinois voter, on this subject.

I do not want to read you anymore. Please find another site to express your views.

So you only want views that you agree with? Are you that fragile that you can’t handle a different opinion? Also, Wolfnight, you do not speak for Illinois voters. You are in the minority. If I followed your logic, I should be asking you to leave the state. Unlike you though, I like diversity of thought and welcome an open dialogue. It’s unfortunate that so many people like yourself have become so soft that they can’t handle people who don’t think exactly like themselves. You are one sad individual and exactly what is wrong with today’s political climate. Please find… Read more »

Bailey isn’t the awful candidate. IL voters are the awful electorate.

So the voters are awful and not Bailey? Is that your leadership style debtsor? If people don’t follow you it’s not because you are a bad leader but because they are bad followers? That’s not how leadership works and it’s definitely not how great candidates behave. You didn’t refute one thing I offered up as to why Bailey is an awful candidate but instead tried to shift the narrative that it’s the voters fault for not wanting what Bailey is offering. If he can’t convince voters to follow him then by definition he is an awful candidate. Would he be… Read more »

He’s not awful. He won the Republican primary handily. Saying “He’s a bad candidate” is just repeating Crap Fax talking points. He’s probably not the right candidate for IL right now in this polarized environment but that’s not a ‘bad’ candidate because he is against abortion and talks with a southern accent. JB is a ‘good’ candidate because he has a billion dollars to spend and buys off the media. Which is crazy because this is going to a record wave election nationally and IL is going to double down on the crazy instead.

Winning the primary handily doesn’t make on a good candidate in the general. As I’ve acknowledged, Bailey could be fine in a red state. Yes, he is a good GOP candidate in the primary. He is an awful candidate in the general election. It’s not a talking point but his polling proves it. Also, yes, having money vs not is better when running for office. That makes you a better candidate with a greater chance to win. Why hasn’t Bailey been able to secure more funding? Ken Griffin hates Pritzker and yet he isn’t reaching deep into his pockets. Securing… Read more »

I hate to link to crap fax, so I won’t, but today they have some very slanted discussion of the recent Illinois Broadcasters Association poll that shows JB up by 22 points! “Look JB, those tens of millions you spent on the airwaves is working, great return on your investment, you’re up 22 points!” According to this survey, every Republican is only in the 20% range which would be the lowest ever recorded and defies every national trend of Republicans going gangbusters with Independents +20 or +30 for Republicans. The reality is that woke is unpopular and JB has made… Read more »

Mark,

I know you are proud of it and you should be. It’s sad that we live in a time with all this information at our fingertips and so much speech is suppressed because people don’t want to listen to opposing views. We don’t agree on some topics but I appreciate your philosophy in allowing dissenting opinions.

The funny thing is, I suspect the same people that have requested that I leave your site are the same ones that were irate when twitter did the exact same thing.

During Trump’s term I actually emailed WGN tv about one of their “news reports” about him. I told them that their biased reporting was a turn off and it’s why I no longer watch local news. Their response was to send me a tweet to back up their story. For the most part Chicago broadcast news is a joke.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
