Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Thoroughly unproductive work. About as meaningful as Real ID, zero!
Leave it to CC to come up with this program…
Car jackings are epidemic so here’s an idea…
We hand out…… STICKERS…!
The children are still fully in charge… 🙁
Or they could just apprehend and jail the offenders.
That would be racist!
The 2nd Amendment is also a useful tool to combat carjacking. Always carry your metallic American Express card. Don’t leave home without it!
So, a carjacker pointing a gun at you will then see the sticker on your windshield and give you a pass? The issue here is, whether a person is the victim of a carjacking, that person doesn’t want a gun pointed at him or her.
Instead of these weak law enforcement policies, carjackers should be given prison sentences, and not for a week or month, either. Then, you’ll see the carjacking rates magically decrease. If they don’t, keep increasing the prison terms until they do. Carjackers younger than a certain age would be sent to homes for problem children.
