Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Miller is right. Dems have zero excuse. Repugs on the other hand have plenty of excuses. Horrible candidate, terrible fund raising, zero messaging as well as a general lack of ability. None of these will be used though as repugs will just complain that the election was stolen. Their base is so ignorant they will believe anything so why not feed them the same lame lie.
Miller has been making excuses for Democrats forever, and that won’t change. They still talk about their hero Madigan in glowing term on his state run propaganda site.
Rich Miller is like a sexually transmitted disease. Just when you think that it’s gone away forever it emerges again with a nasty bleeding pustulent rash.
