Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

AG Merrick Garfinkle’s AFT(or is it ATF?) is responsible for the prosecutions of illegal machine posession; guilty sentences can be in ten years prison and $10K fines. It appears to me that Merrick Garfinkle seldom prosecutes these cases unless the defendant is white. ATF agents usually are the dumbest and laziest of government personnel and I strongly suspect that these agents do not want to be shot up searching for these automatic switches in the black ghetto. How about the states attorney doing the job they are supposed to do, vigorously prosecute violent criminals and when found guilty seek maximum punishments.
Voters hired state’s attorneys to PROTECT people from a systemically racist criminal justice system.

According to the ST article, these started showing up in 2018! We’ve previously seen shootings where 50+ shell casings were recovered! Now we’ve got a problem and no one knows what to do!
Back then they were blaming AK-47s for the shootings too. I knew that was BS back then. Now we’ve come to find out that they’re really just semi-automatics with extended clips and a $10 part. The crazy part is that a handgun isn’t meant to shoot fully automatic and accuracy is reduced to near zero. I don’t know why these gang bangers don’t watch a couple of youtube videos on how to shoot and then practice with a bb gun in some abandoned building.
