200k isnt a lot of money to run a tollway system. Only teabillies think making 100k is a lot and makes it corrupt. Almost standard for most executives at any business. Just jealous teabillies hating on the successful. Bunch of losers.
You are correct. $200k is pretty standard salary for an executive position.
The problem lies in that it is a political job with political appointees who are often and usually unqualified and incompetent. These people would be walking and grooming dogs for a living if they didn’t get a political hack job with the Tollway.

The absolute most corrupt and unmonitored agency in the state. Nothing but scandal after scandal over decades. The Illinois Tollway repaired bridges over I90/I39 near me, 6 months later there were potholes in the bridge decking. Try and talk to someone at the Tollway Authority, it’s impossible. I tried, called the county highway dept and they said call the tollway. Called a state rep and his office was trying but the the tollway said it’s a County problem and the County says it’s a tollway problem.
