Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. There is no fixing any of it.
Children and society, and NOT the CTU, deserve more, so much more.
An ignorant complacent electorate results in disasters like Illinois and the Biden administration.
Sad commentary.
CTU is not a real union — it is a money laundering racket for the crooked and corrupt Illinois Democrats
Something to ponder.

Wow these people are scummier than I thought.
I have always been fond of the old adage–“If you don’t look out for your own best interest, who do you think is?” So who is looking out for the students’ best interest? Lori? The CTU? The City Council? The Chicago Board of Ed? Anybody? Maybe some parents, who are totally powerless. That’s why the poor students are getting shafted in this city– and statewide as well for that matter.
