The Danville, Kankakee, Decatur and Rockford metropolitan statistical areas all had unemployment rates higher than 5% in October, with Rockford being the worst at 5.9%. All were higher than the statewide rate of 4.6% rate – the worst state rate in the nation.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
