Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. This can’t be, Jesse Sharkey said the CTU was advocating for the poor minority kids? Are you telling me the CTU lied?
my neighbors and I called CPS truancy & DCFS for years regarding a extremely violent /disturbed kid from dysfunctional family who terrorized the neighborhood—NOTHING HAPPENED!!
Somebody should do an article on what CPS truancy spends and what their success rate is getting kids back in classroom?
a lot of these kids are out there doing the looten & shooten & car jacking..the situations not just an education nose dive issue it’s a public safety issue. The cops have limited powers in dealing with minors
School vouchers, vocational schools and military academy’s. Just end CPS, spend the money on vouchers at 60-70% the cost and take the bad kids away where they will be off the streets and getting disciplined. The CPS is a complete failure at this point and getting worse with a combative bat shit insane union. If we fire them all imagine the pension waste that will be saved and the betterment of society as a whole.
I guess when teachers went all-in for indoctrination, they didn’t realize they were jumping into a very competitive space. Movies, TV, “music”, Tik-Tok -all offer a much better propaganda product than teachers. So no worries, the kids are still being indoctrinated, just not by you. They can learn victimology anywhere.
