Whomever is downvoting these comments in this forum must not pay taxes or work. They obviously voted for Governor Flintstone and Creepy Joe, and will be voting for Mayor Groot in two months–even if they do not live in Chicago.

Don’t forget young Illinois college students who bypass Illinois to start their careers. No Illinois-fed tax return (too young and they are a dependent), and immediately start their career out of state. Not tracked as an Illinois refugee.

I am a typical Illinois parent today….begged my kids to start their lives outside of Illinois to avoid the Illinois big three : political CIG (corruption; incompetence; and greed).

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
