Proposed Illinois Assault Weapons Ban Still on Table, But Clock is Ticking For Senate to Vote – NBC5 (Chicago)

An Assault Weapons Ban for the state of Illinois is still on the table after an expected vote on the bill Sunday during a Senate session didn't take place. And though the Senate is scheduled to reconvene Monday, the clock is ticking to take action on the bill before the 103rd General Assembly is sworn in Wednesday.

Farmer Jones will be OK because he lives in a 2nd amendment sanctuary county that has already voted to not enforce unconstitutional gun laws.

The media and the legislature has completely ignored this but it’s the biggest story out there no one is reported on.

Unless the state plans on sending ISP SWAT teams to break down the doors of Farmer Jones’ house, Farmer Jones has about as much chance as being prosecuted as a drug dealer in Chicago, which is zero.

Governor Lepetomane: Holy underwear! Sheriff murdered! Innocent women and children blown to bits! We have to protect our phoney baloney jobs here, gentlemen! We must do something about this immediately! Immediately! Immediately! Harrumph! Harrumph! Harrumph!

The “Lepetomane philosophy” is rampant in our government…

The cops do nothing to protect you. So, without big guns (criminal have them) how do you protect your family?

Senate passes bill, Senate president mocks the actions to follow, “See you in court”. There is no doubt that democrats are nothing but tyrants.

Illinois fixing to spend lots of taxpayer dollars to fight a 2nd Amendment fight that they ,most likely will lose. Who cares, it ain’t their money. Meanwhile lots of innocent, law abiding citizens are gonna be violent criminals because the democrats say they are. And in Chicago the usual suspects will be shooting and killing like they did last year and the year before that and that and that and that…….

It could not be said any better. It’s not my money!!! The Dems expect all of this to be pushed through the court system. Dem elected officials could care less about us. They were voted in(not legally) and now. Pushing unconstitutional issues. God continue to reveal the evil.

Here’s a better summary and a place where you can donate to fight back:

maxonshooters (dot) com has a much better summary, and you can donate to a 501C(3) legal fund to fight back against this.

The new bill is HB5471.

The senate is expected to vote at 1:00 pm on a bill that is even worse than the house bill in some ways.

“Hell yes, we are taking your AR-15” should be the motto of this bill.

JB said it will pass. He will make sure it passes. That’s what real leaders do – donate money to legislative candidates that do his bidding!

Spot on. JB has replaced Madigan as owner of the IL Democrats. Madigan controlled them with Democrat fundraising money. JB controls them with his daddys money.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
