Remember when ‘gay’ meant happy? Or ‘returning citizen’ was someone returning from another country? Or when ‘asylum seekers’ were people who followed immigration laws? Or when ‘peaceful protests’ were really peaceful? Or when ‘racist’ actually referred to someone who was a true racist? Or when ‘family-friendly’ events didn’t include drag queens?
