Untrustworthy Prosecutors – City Journal

"In Chicago, Cook County state’s attorney Kim Foxx has been called out for not telling the truth during the Jussie Smollett debacle...Meantime, just last month Foxx had to remove the head prosecutor from her vaunted 'conviction integrity unit' from a case because the prosecutor faces a misconduct motion for hiding evidence in a case in which a police officer was murdered...In Chicago, layers of deception emanate from the prosecutor’s office."

So, lets “censor” Sheriffs who have the gall to enforce the constitution…

And let activist prosecutors & proven liars off the hook…?

Yet another way to promote even more division between right & left…

The left fears any reconciliation, they need disconnect & rancor among the electorate to succeed…

After SAFE T kicks in full time who cares? Law enforcement and the criminal justice system in Illinois will be something if the past. The new rules about disclosure and trial dates will create nothing but chaos and confusion just as the democrat restorative justice crowd wanted.

Yep, exactly what was intended, as contrasted with the mendaciously pandering nonsense that was promised.

If a “journalist” would ask JB what his plan for Illinois was, but dart his ample tushy with a truth-serum before he answered, he’d tell us, “I’d like everyone that identifies as gay/lesbian/transgender/oppressed and/or victimized, or who wants someone else to pay for their housing, transportation, health care, food and clothing, or who doesn’t want to go to jail after they commit a crime, to move to Illinois.”

“I’d like everyone else in Illinois to leave their money here, and move somewhere else.”

Give him some truth serum AND a couple of Daiquiris, and he’ll explain to you his plans for Deplorable re-education camps, forced gender transitions, wealth redistribution, climate lockdowns….

And more abortions. You know – because “more abortions” is good, and we’d like to be known for that.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
