"It's a plan that will make our system more equitable, focusing in particular on children and families who have less ability to access quality programs, and investing in a workforce made up largely of women and people of color," Gov. JB Pritzker said.

Perhaps as a gesture of goodwill JB could name McDonald/s the exclusive meal vendor.

Illinois could simply offer parents a preschool voucher to use at whatever approved preschool facility they choose. But with shrinking school age student populations and union coffers, I’m sure this program will instead go to prop up state $education system$ and $teachers unions$. I believe currently Chicago can’t even find enough kids to fill the pre-school slots it has funding for? Also, will the enumerable private preschool providers (that dot my neighborhood) get funding or just the public school system?

This is discriminatory against cisgendered white men who need childcare and preschool for their children.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
