So, CTU gets away with violating campaign finance laws, again-n-still, because CTU has bought lots of votes-n-influence among the pol’s who could actually make the union stop doing what they’re doing. The fact that some few of their members are upset is of no consequence, since the vast majority of CTU teachers – who we can assume are literate and well informed, they’re teachers after all – are entirely in favor of all of this. on the other hand, I’m sure all will be forgiven by rank and file ctu if gates and the crew come through with gigantic $wins$ in next years contract negotiations. That’s what gates and core count on. and lets face it, they keep kicken ass on hapless homeowner/taxpayer (with help from press love fest) and won on Amend 1….so maybe if your rank and file, you keep mouth shut, fork over your dues no questions asked, put on your red shirt and go with the scam politics

Politicians always sell out the taxpayer for the public sector vote. No matter what the cost is as it is someone else’s money.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Does CTU have a limited window in which a member can decline membership or can they cancel at any time?
I believe they do. Heard a story about someone who tried to get out and they couldn’t find the paperwork that was mailed in.
