The local McDonald’s I visited the other day is promoting the less plastic, save the planet agenda. I ordered a fish sandwich with a drink. No straws at the soda dispenser. I ask at the counter, we are cutting down on plastic straws for environmental reasons but if you ask you can get one. Ok, the drink cup is plastic, the lid is plastic and they give you your order in a brand new paper bag that almost immediately ends up in the garbage can lined with a big black plastic bag.
