Durbin hopes U.S. will step up military aid to Ukraine – WBBM (Chicago)

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said U.S. equipment, ammunition and training are the making the difference. He said he would support equipping Ukraine with fighter jets. “But you need to train the pilots. It takes months to do that, so that they can use these F-16s effectively.”

I’ll bet he does. Wonder what sort of a Cut he is getting out of the Billions paid. Do not agree with spending $100B+ of US tax dollars on a country that has no strategic benefit to the US and provides no benefit to the US people at the expense of people here in this country that need the help. The whole thing feels crooked, makes no sense and if looks like a duck…you know the rest.

Why won’t Dick and his family volunteer to fight in Ukraine? Won’t his master Putin let him?

Old do nothing Dick is suddenly hawkish. Let’s wrap up this pesky Russian thingy before it impacts next year’s election, right Dick. We’ll forget the billions spent on other countries instead of our own border down south if we do this quickly. Then we can show doctored videos of Biden running marathons and walking up a flight of stairs without falling down to show Americans what a true leader he is.

Please step down, Dickie; it’s time.

You are welcome to donate the fortunes you’ve amassed in ‘public service’ to the Ukraine war, which will likely redefine our lives, and not in a good way.

Don’t volunteer my money … or the American way of life.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
