South suburban cargo airport would be economic engine, local leaders say WBBM (Chicago)

A third airport in the south suburbs has been talked about for 40 years and is still nowhere close to being built. State Rep. Will Davis, though, will try again with House Bill 2531. The legislation would have developers weigh in with their level of interest and willingness to pay for a cargo airport.

They will continue to push this until the investors in the land are paid off. Model it after the Mid America Airport in Belleville. It has zero scheduled service……..NONE!nothing but a gargantuan boondoggle like the McCormick Place Covid Hospital! How many millions and zero patients?
