First off if the CPD administration places officers in school they better be prepared for a firestorm if anything goes sideways with one of the protected class of students and the officer uses any sort of force to control the situation. Secondly any officer who applies for or accepts a duty assignment in a CPS school should be examined for a mental disorder. They are not wanted by a majority of staff. School administrators believe in some vague and destructive notion of inclusion, where problem students should be ‘protected’ from law enforcement, because it results in discipline and punishment. Stupid educators naively believe in a more holistic approach to behavior control, which fails miserably. Schools used to have a standard where disruptive children were unwelcome in schools because it wrecked the well behaved children’s ability to learn. But because more minority students were disciplined than non-minority students, the DIE ideology believes that all disparities are due to racism, and therefore, the antiracist thing to do is stop punishing minority students.
