I think not, these politicians were selected.
Our state government and municipal elections are in the midterms. Turnout is always down by hundreds of thousands in the midterms vs. the general election. JB and the Dems figured in 2018 they needed a couple hundred thousand extra votes, at most, to overcome Rauner. They just need only a small percentage of the general election voters to vote in the midterm and overcome Rauner’s 1.8 million expected votes. Chicago’s awful progressive policies alienates half the country. This is how the producers feel about Chicago. People are rejecting the very idea of moving here. This story has dominated conservative media for days. Nary a peep from Democrats who don’t follow conservative media, and haven’t got the slightly clue how half the country is mocking them. They really have no idea. They believe the carnival barkers – aka half the country – are saying somethings about them, but they are racists natsees so it’s OK to ignore them.
