Actually, Arlington Park owners’ friend in Springfield seeks to roll back the property assessment to the low, pre-inflation valuation of 3 years prior, before the triennial re-assessment which all properties in Cook County must undergo.
There are remedies under the law for Arlington Park property owners to appeal that assessment, other than special ‘friends’ deal’ from Springfield, which most other property taxpayers cannot access.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
