Ted and Matt agreed that more cops won’t matter unless city officials restore the chain of criminal justice: to arrest, prosecute and sentence again. Ted also said Johnson should be obsessed with achieving literacy among Chicago’s schoolchildren, but worries the Mayor will try to erase standards instead.
