The plan will “… offer teens a chance to play sports …” Let’s see, if I’m a teenage Chicago thug, I can carjack or hold people up and get free cars, money, etc.; or I could play sports. Let me get back to you in a bit on what option is more attractive to me. Also, the option of playing sports means the thugs would need to get money some other way, such as getting a job. Proposed downtown security plan for us law-abiding Streeterville folks: don’t leave your building, stay at home, remain away from your windows. Or go out-of-state for weekend.

Imagine being a teen or something youth, looking forward to a weekend of wilding, YOLO (you only live once) and believing that, this weekend, you will kill someone or be killed instead. It’s like there an organized hunting these people down and shooting at each other. They’re simply getting into beefs over drugs or money or women or pride, many times over social media, and the anger spills over into violence.
