Electric vehicles are registered in all 77 community areas in Chicago, but more than 40 of those areas have no public EV chargers, city officials say. But city residents are prime candidates for EV adoption that the state is pushing, because the average number of miles they drive daily is relatively low.
Do what ! Nobody can afford these wrecks that only incinerate their owners.let’s make them as plentiful as Divvy bikes! Park an Ev in your attached garage and no longer worry about selling your home, just collect the insurance when it burns. There will soon be a time when EVs void your insurance coverage.

Too many variables to count on the “projected range” of EVs. Weather, speed, towing, hills, heater/AC on or off etc. YouTube has many stories about EV travel that show the shortcomings of EVs. “Projected range” is a pipe dream of EV users and manufacturers. Again there are many first hand accounts of the EVs not providing the travel amount boasted about. I’ll stick with ICE and drive worry free for 400/500 miles, stop for gas, and be on my way in 10 minutes and not worry about finding a working charger with the correct plugin, proper speed of charge and… Read more »
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

Not really. A three hour trip would probably be less than 200 miles and virtually all EV’s get that kind of mileage.
