New laws provide more benefits for noncitizens – Illinois Times

If the bills are signed by Gov. JB Pritzker, noncitizens will become eligible to obtain standard driver's licenses and will be allowed to become peace officers. This year's budget also dedicates approximately $550 million to pay for health services for noncitizens aged 42 or older. A spokesman said the new noncitizen enrollees will add about 65,000 people to the pool of people eligible for state-funded medical care.

It’s absurd for any country, or any political subdivision within a given country, to give benefits to noncitizens especially if those noncitizens are there illegally. That is a corrupt waste of citizens’ tax dollars.

Creating so called laws to hide the ones you’re breaking is infuriating. These politicians should be arrested for aiding and abetting the trafficking of humans into this country. Drive by a CPD and see for yourself. Loitering outside sometimes by the dozens. All their belongs pushed up against the windows of the lobbies. Why would one want criminals in numbers hanging around our public safety facilities? This is an invasion. Not a humanitarian crises. Not even close. The socialism they want now will be the communism they have later.

Let’s see now, the rest of the citizens are paying premiums, co-pays, and deductibles, and those same citizens are now ALSO supporting illegal alien healthcare?

If there is such a thing as a doctrine of fairness, I’m pretty sure this little scheme violates it.

Stupid chickens.

Old Joe spent 6 weeks of the summer of 1975 taking driver’s training. Book work in the morning and road work in the afternoon. The instructor was a high school teacher earning some extra scratch during the summer. The cars were provided by the local Chevy dealership. When the course was over the instructor said we got our feet wet.

Man, I remember that! Went to Catholic HS and no Drivers Ed there. Summer time, 6 weeks at local public HS, learning to drive. When on the simulator, I always drove in stick shift mode! Took three CTA buses to learn how to drive! Took my drivers test at 99th South Park, now MLK jr Drive. Passed with flying colors and the old man STILL wouldn’t let me drive his car! Great to live in Chicago back then.

Those were the days. My instructor made me drive him to his house alot and for what I’m not sure to this day. Afternoon Delight hadn’t yet been released but everyone knew about it.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
