As of Friday, there were 4,878 asylum-seekers in 13 city-run shelters and 460 waiting in police stations, according to a statement from Office of Emergency Management and Communications spokesperson Mary May.
Biden administration gave these new migrants easy unfettered entry-access to US via illegal on-foot border-crossings.
Biden administration didn’t promise then a “Bed of Roses”, nor are they concerned by new costs to taxpayers to house, feed, medically treat, educate, employ, and/or otherwise acclimate these new migrants to American life-style expectations.

Why aren’t regular US citizen homeless allowed to use the police stations to sleep in as homeless shelters?, or places to recieve donations?, or per articale as a pick-up location for day labor jobs paying $150-$160 a day (are these employers deducting all taxes, paying city min wage, etc?)? What are the criteria/requirements to qualify using CPD stations as your shelters? Or maybe they can and they simply aren’t a where? In my NW side neighborhood we got all kinds of folks living in the parks, CTA bus shelters, etc
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
