Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. “It’s not known how many big spenders will attend. A NASCAR spokesperson on Tuesday could not provide the number of ticket sales.
General admission prices start at $269 for both days. Premium seating goes up to $3,015 a ticket.”
The fact ticket prices are that high for general admission (The IndyCar Honda Indy 200 at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend charges $85 for 2 day general admission) and the fact NASCAR “couldn’t” provide ticket sales figures tells me it will be sparsely attended, if at all.
This may be a “one-and-done” event. NASCAR should’ve returned to Chicagoland.
Wait till the robberies, assaults, carjackings, and shootings paint a true picture of Chicago for the national media
Ever since NASCAR went WOKE I pay no attention to it!
