25 years ago in Illinois this would have been a comical idea. NO Democrats or Republicans would support such an obviously ridiculous idea. Let’s make the criminals into cops. Neal Hartigan, Dan Rostenkowski, both of the Daleys, Phil Rock, old Dick Durbin– any of the moderate Dems you can think of would have upchucked at this idea. It is a standout example at what has evolved in our desperate state with one party control.
