Springfield’s way of doing business should change – Opinion – Shaw Local

State Sen. Donald DeWitt: Here in Illinois, you may have noticed the constant news coverage on the many legal challenges that are making their way through the various court systems over recently enacted Illinois laws and mandates. These lawsuits are based on the grounds that the state of Illinois has violated the constitutional rights of Illinois residents.

IL Democrats middle of the night passed laws are a mockery of democracy

Illinois Republicans need to figure out how to change the way we do business.

Illinois Democrats have whipped Illinois Republicans like a red headed stepchild.

Darren Bailey? Really?

I’d like to read what DeWitte has to say about that.

Harping on about stuff Dem’s can be relied on to do because no one in power in Springfield has to care about what DeWitte thinks doesn’t interest me so much.

LOL, the constitution is merely a piece of paper to be disregarded by tyrants who want to violate your god given rights.

Oh, you must be referring to The Donald’s thought that the constitution should be “suspended” at times. Thanks for that thoughtful reminder.

Both sides of the aisle seem content to ignore the constitution if it behooves “their side”.

Actually, no the ‘both sides’ argument doesn’t apply here. The Democrats get overturned far, far more often than Republicans when it comes to constitutionality of laws. It’s not even close.

Do you have a report that outlines your assertion or is it based on your feelings? Even if your assertion is correct, the only thing it would prove is that republicans disregard the constitution less than democrats. Not exactly a stellar endorsement of supporting the constitution. So actually, the “both sides” argument does apply here.

You made a claim but provided zero facts. Surely you have something that leads you to your conclusion other than your feelings. You’re stealing a liberal strategy right out of their playbook. You are consistently wrong in so many comments here that it’s hard to believe it’s by accident.

So you lied and made it up. Thanks for clarifying.
