Free speech means that even despicable speech is allowed

Well, duh! Because, like communism, leftist policies go against human nature, and are so unpopular, that they can only be kept in place under by force. For example, covid policies were really unpopular in many places because they didn’t work: wearing masks that didn’t work, closing down public places didn’t stop the spread, forced vaccinations that didn’t stop transmission. The only way to keep these policies going is to censor, stifle speech, cancel people, threaten them with arrest or loss of their freedom or job.
