Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Hurray for Wirepoints for leading this discussion. Maybe now some of the lazy bums in the mainstream media will start following this disastrous performance of our criminal justice system like Univision has started doing.
Arresting Chicago criminals is racist you know and we can’t have that.
The flip side to this is that white and asian criminals are punished more harshly than minorities who commit the same crimes. That’s the dirty little secret that nobody wants to say out loud. And of course this makes sense, Kim/Toni/Tim are virulent anti-racists and they believe that present and future discrimination is the only remedy for past discrimination. Why even bother enforcing laws. With the new get out of jail free law the criminals will literally out of the door before the paperwork is finished. Cook County states attorney simply does not do the job, crooks walk free, charges dropped or reduced, get 5 yrs in prison and walk out the same day you go in really makes you wonder why the democrats in Illinois are so against keeping citizens safe and secure. Name me one profession that is not demoralized today. But we all go to work and do our job. Doctors are demoralized, nurses are demoralized, but we still expect that they are going to do their jobs. I’m doing the work of two people because in my profession, the unemployment rate is less than 1%. I don’t get the luxury of not doing my job and it’s finance, not life and death. Cops aren’t afraid of AR15’s. What a ridiculous comment. Police officers are afraid that in the process of performing their duties they will need to make a split second life or death decision that will result in them being accused of killing someone. As long as society worries more about the criminal alcohol thieving pregnant lady attempting to run over a police officer (while blaming the police officer for shooting at said criminal to protect themselves), the police will be hesitant to do their job. I’m certain that nearly everything you believe to be true is most certainly wrong. You really need to reevaluate your worldview because you are evaluating the world through a warped lens.
