‘Everyone is so freaked out’: Armed robbery crews sweep city as Chicago police task forces struggle with brazen crimes – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

While armed robberies are nothing new in Chicago, a disturbing new pattern has emerged in recent months where crews of robbers — many of them juveniles — toting high-powered weapons go on crime sprees, robbing or carjacking multiple victims in a matter of minutes, often using stolen cars and dressed head to toe in black. The sheer volume of robberies has left aldermen frustrated and many residents of frequently targeted neighborhoods frightened.

You have the freedom to move out of Chicago.
Either move out of the city for safety. Or stay and suffer the consequences.

Where are you going to go? The whole country is imploding. It’s better to stand your ground and fight back.

Consider this statement: “Car loads of heavily armed lawless men driving at high speeds seeking victims”

Is this statement a description of Chicago or a Mad Max movie? The answer is yes.

The more they get away with it the more times it will happen. It just encourages others to do the same.

Legally And Constitutionally Illiterate And Ignorant Cook County Judge Ignores First Amendment, Orders Reporter To Stop Reporting On No-Cash-Bail Court Proceedings – CWB Chicago

That’s a great article. Good find. Cook County courts are a forever-has-been-n-always-will-be mess in almost every way.

Do what they want, explain little, stumble with ethics, struggle with technology – years too slow w/trials, etc.

You can sit in a courtroom, but you can’t take notes.

I can see how judges who aren’t too bright would be fine with that….

After most stores have closed their doors, we know where the Bolsheviks are headed next. The governor and president do not want the honest citizen to have the means to protect themselves, yet they arm the criminal with everything they need to help the communist, complete their plan. Crime flows from the top down. They, the communist, also have the illegals on their side. This is just the start.

In a recent looting spree in Chicago, you can see police arresting a few people outside of the store with many more streaming out and getting away. Deploying tear gas in the store would blind and temporarily disable anyone directly involved. As a bonus, it would prevent many of the looters from coming to the aid of the arrested, keeping police safer in the process. Honeypotting a few hundred Kia’s and Hyundai’s with tear gas ready to deploy and GPS tracking should put a serious chill on this type crime.

I call them Brandon’s boys instead of Kia boys. The car isn’t an accessory, but Brandon sure is.

Other accessories are the blue state (D) governors, legislators and the president.

They used the tear gas very effectively when the Bulls were winning championships. I believe that the officers carried Maglights and Billy Clubs as well. Those were the good old days!

Sorry, David, but things have gotten so out of hand that “you loot, we shoot” may be the next step.

We are witnessing first hand the breakdown of society.

How would you suggest looting be stopped?

The criminal system is not functioning; cops are not allowed to do their jobs, and there are no consequences for criminals nor help for victims.

Give us your best ideas, please.

We need to focus on one thing at a time. Protesting the Gotion plant is a good initial exercise in building morale, communication, and networking. Wirepoints has done an excellent job networking and getting the word out. People need to realize that they’re not alone, that they have a voice and can make a difference. Unsurprisingly, these are the exact same things the trolls here are trying to prevent and destroy. If we can stop the Gotion plant, we’ll be a step closer to breaking up opposition’s power and interests. Contact the groups protesting this and see what you can… Read more »

All good ideas … but what about looting?

David Hardy

We need to build up communication channels, activism groups, coalitions, and advocates first. Nobody is going to get anywhere by themselves.

It’s going to take a little bit of time. People are motivated and want to stop the violence. Don’t pay any attention to legacy media talking points. NOBODY WANTS THIS.

As I expected, you don’t have any idea about how to curtail looting.

Don’t feel bad … I don’t either.

During the Rodney King riots, Korean store owners armed with rifles on top of the stores, did a good job or curtailing the looting.

Kim Foxx will put YOU in jail for defending yourself while letting the criminal go free. This is not new, we’ve seen this all before:

“Your punishment for having a knife when they searched you would be very different from the thief’s. For him to have a knife was mere misbehavior, tradition, he didn’t know any better. But for you to have one was ‘terrorism.’” – Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Russian communist dissident.

“I said to him very emphatically and very definitely, that an order be issued immediately under his signature, to shoot to kill any arsonist, or anyone with a molotov cocktail in their hand in Chicago. Because they are a potenial murderer. And to issue a police order, to shoot to maim or cripple anyone looting any stores in our city.” – Former mayor of Chicago, Richard Daley

“We have to ask ourselves, when someone is robbing someone, what are they seeking to achieve?”

This bit of wisdom was spoken by Ald. Jessie Fuentes of the 26th ward, an elected official in Chicago.

The voters made these choices, they must live with the consequences.

Wait till Brandon reveals the locations of the Johsonvilles…

Dave Hardy, as an individual living in Chicago, what do you propose to fix the problem? One challenge I see is that being the victim of one of these robberies is to say the least traumatic, and I can understand why victims simply want to leave.

The fix is leave the city. Let the criminals have their own fenced in cesspool to beat & attack each other.

David Hardy

Reply to  Pat S.

Leaving soon is determined to troll. Nobody is going to waste their time on here if they’re leaving the state. If the Gotion protests aren’t your thing, que up some print jobs! With a $20 ream of paper, you could write a letter to everyone in your neighborhood and schedule a meetup. From there, you could brainstorm, compare notes, and take on roles. Ideally, you could run it like a condo board. If enough people pitch in, you could purchase signs, private security on weekends, etc. There’s a lot you can do with a home printer and a quick walk… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
