Rivian’s Quest to Build the Ultimate Truck Burns Through Billions – Wall Street Journal

Rivian has a major production facility in Illinois. Its vehicles sell for over $80,000 on average. Yet they’re so expensive to build that in the second quarter the company lost $33,000 on every one it sold. That’s roughly the starting price of a base model Ford F-150.

All the more reason to halt the Manteno battery plant project and subsidies.

In the next press conference someone should ask if JB drives an EV. Do any of his security drive one when he travels to Wisconsin or around Illinois?
Can you picture JB waiting foir a few hours to charge his vehicle?
