This is day two of migrants wandering around West Town Chicago begging for clothes and jobs. I spoke with more of them staying at 344 N. Ogden. All of the young men I spoke with had ankle monitors from immigration. The told me the ankle monitors come off after 60 days. They are still allowed to leave the property. One girl I spoke with was 8 and I thought she was 3 or 4 because of her size. She was most likely severely malnourished. They all complained about the food, and some say they’ve gotten sick from it. They’re eventually going to move into shantytowns just as they lived in Venezuela. Chicago’s proverbial Skid Row is likely to make a comeback. Maybe just not on Maxwell St. this time.
Pritzker bit off more then he can chew on this one and it would appear that only the White House with its ability to print money can help him out. The DNC National Convention is on the horizon and Pritzker’s desperate hopes just may be great big touristy photo op of how well the immigrants are treated and assimilated into society to add to his dreams of higher office. Running out of money?! I thought we had a balanced budget which includes ample funding to support our status as a sanctuary state? And aren’t budgets a statement of our values? If we’re running out of money in the budget, what does this say about how JB and the Illinois Dems value these migrants?
Yeah Pritzker did a great job of turning things around after Rauner almost bankrupted us. How can the situation get so precarious so quickly.
How does JB expect Washington to help him? Biden doesn’t have the power to just send billions to blue states to deal with the illegal immigrant mess he created. The free money is coming to an end, and this issue is toxic. Better sharpen your pencil JB. The voters are happy they rejected your progressive income tax as they foresaw your insatiable appetite for excessive spending. Now what?
They find a 50 billion accounting error.
That’s a shame. I’ll be back in warm sunny FL watching this implosion with some popcorn and not paying IL income taxes smiling ear to ear.
