They must also do public outreach and have a track record of community engagement and service to Illinois history. The position was previously held by a state employee who was an Abraham Lincoln expert.

Exactly.

Look at the the government “servants” in Illinois, especially Chicago. It’s becoming South Africa; we know what happened in South Africa after the faces of government changed.

No Illinoisans, the push for diversity is not showing any benefits for the governed. Incompetence and racial preferences reign – elections have consequences. Time to start voting with our heads, not blind emotion and some perverse form of social leveling.

“underrepresented” is such a subjective term. The ‘elites’ are always underrepresented too, because there are always so few of them, compared to the many plebs.
