ACLU suggests sharing benefits of immigration to ease fears of change – WGLT (NPR at ISU)

“I think there are many downstate communities that could benefit, whether it's the kind of folks who have professional backgrounds and professional capacities that could serve and help, or whether it's simply an enhancement in the diversity in a community and the culture of a community,” said Ed Yohnka, of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Illinois.

Maybe I’ll just say no, no more immigrants, and I’ll tell them to their face go to home, but they probably won’t understand, not speaking English.

Ah yes, such tremendous benefits. As an example, the people of Oak Brook had their fears of change eliminated on Monday, when they found out that 2 Venezuelan migrants had been arrested and placed on electronic monitoring after stealing $1,700 from the Macy’s at Oak Brook mall. Who wouldn’t want to have this type of behavior in their neighborhood? And with JB Pritzker’s no bail law, the illegals only have to deal with electronic monitoring. Shall we wager how long it took for the two culprits to remove their new bracelets? Yep, those migrants have all kinds of benefits!
