Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson is slammed ‘for locking huge crowd out of public meeting about plan for migrant camp in crime-ridden city – Daily Mail

Ald. Julia Ramirez, who was attacked along with her aide by protestors at the site being considered last week, tried to allay the concerns of the crowd. She said: 'The city is asking a lot of Brighton Park' and added she had asked for more resources for the area.

I have told Mark many times that going to meetings means nothing to the government. They do what they want to do and do not care what the public wants or thinks. Shut up and pay your taxes.

UK’s Daily Mail, CWB and a couple of police-scanner accounts on X are the only news outlets reporting on just how large and angry the response to the city’s plans truly is. Old media highlights the handful of locals who claim they want to help (with taxpayer’s money) the unfortunate “migrants”.

The democrat voters in Chicago have done it again, electing an incompetent bafoon to run the city simply because he had a “D” after his name. FU Chicago voters you deserve the pain you voted for.

Lots of people are too busy working hard and occasionally make mistakes. Why not give them the benefit of the doubt instead and support them in eradicating this mess that could eventually spill over into your neighborhood?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
