It’s a huge problem! One of the migrants I know bought a car a few days ago. He’s been making money cutting hair for the whole shelter. $5 per haircut, 15$ for the gringos, with no expenses or overhead adds up over two months. This is a very old problem. I remember when all the illegal aliens in my small hometown would give the name of “Jose Gonzales” when they were arrested (mostly for “drunk and disorderly”). It was a running joke. None had ID of any kind.
Last year I had some paperwork come across my desk. There’s a database that law enforcement can access that shows social security number usage. It showed this one particular natural born african-american citizen had THREE other illegal hispanic immigrants using his social security number to work. They’re using his social security number but their own name. It’s totally screwed up if you think about it because the guy was a minor during most of the time others were using his SSN.
