The Tax Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit policy group, released its annual State Business Tax Climate Index report last month. Rather than focusing strictly on how much states levy, the report aims to evaluate how well tax systems are year, Illinois received its lowest index score in the last 10 years. It dropped to No. 37 in the national rankings
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Hmph. Crain’s seems to be uncritical of Illinois’ tax climate.
In fact, they’re cheering on new climate taxes to appease the sun god.
